This Request for Quotations (the "RFQ") is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kitchener ("the City") to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Gas Pipeline Construction, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). The work will provide and pay for all materials (except pipe and fittings provided by the City), labour, water, tools, equipment, plant, light and power for gas pipeline construction within the City of Kitchener. This contract is a unit price contract covering three (3) construction seasons, commencing upon the award of this contract and ending on the 14th day of March 2025, with one (1) option to extend for two (2) additional construction seasons, ending on the 14th day of March 2027. Terms pertaining to this option, or for a further administrative extension of up to 90 days after the end of this contract, are to be mutually agreed upon in writing. A list of anticipated 2022 gas pipeline construction projects is attached as Appendix E, 2022 Gas Pipeline Construction; this list is subject to change without notice. The list of gas main/service replacement projects for subsequent years has not yet been developed but is typically available in the fall of the preceding year and can be provided upon request.
