Reconstruction of Co. Rd. 451 from Hillman Village limits to Lake Avalon Road (approximately 2.3 miles) The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof; to waive defects in bids, and to accept the proposal in part or entirety that, in the opinion of the Board is in the best interest of the Montmorency County Road Commission and the County of Montmorency. Project locations and description: CR 451 is located in Hillman Township, section line of 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 14, 23 & 24, T31N - R4E. Project starts at the North limits of the Village of Hillman and proceeds north 2.3 miles ending approximately 450' north of the CR 451 & Lake Avalon Rd intersection. Road Portion: Existing aggregate shoulders are to be trenched 2' wide and 2" deep. First application of HMA is to be applied in the trenched area (305 lb/syd) concurrently with a scratch course (85 lb/syd) over the existing top width. Second application of HMA is to be applied at 220 lb/syd with two 11 foot lanes and two 3 foot shoulders for a total HMA width of 28 feet. Estimated HMA, 36A (shoulder widening and scratch course) for this job - 2,350 tons. Estimated HMA, 5EL (overlay) for this job - 4,700 ton which includes 200 ton of HMA Approach. Other work activities include: curb and gutter remove and replace; aggregate shoulder (clean trenched material can be used); aggregate drive approaches; monument adjustment; temporary and permanent pavement marking; and maintaining traffic. Culvert Portion: "South Culvert" and "North Culvert" are located approximately 440' and 100' south of the CR 451 and Cadieux Rd intersection respectfully. S culvert: Remove and replace existing culvert as shown on plans; reconstruct guardrail within limits of earth disturbance; place erosion and sedimentation control devices; and slope restoration. N culvert: Excavate to existing footings; extend existing footings with the use of sheet piling and flowable fill as shown on plans; joint waterproofing; structure backfill; reconstruct guardrail within the limits of earth disturbance; place ripap; place erosion and sedimentation control devices; and slope restoration
