**As of March 8, 2022, project was awarded to Peterson Construction - Frisco but awarded amount is not available.** The City of Palestine is seeking proposals for the renovation of the current concession/restroom structure located at Calhoun Park into two (2) ADA compliant restrooms. The renovated restrooms must be ADA compliant and certified by the building codes of the State of Texas. Successful bidder will install the following per manufactures recommendations. 1.Remove and relocate electrical panel and circuits. 2.Remove drinking fountain and demolish standing drainage and water lines as needed. 3.Remove center wall, window ledges, and door units. 4.Remove concrete from floors to relocate plumbing as needed. 5.Electrical: convert service lateral to 20-amp, 120-volt circuit. Install junction box in wall, conduit to LED lights. Install timer for lights at the power pole. 6. Plumbing: move location of toilets to corner of each bathroom and lavatories to center wall. Re-use vent terminus on roof. Locate cold water for each fixture. Install City provided fixtures (2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 4 ADA grab bar handrails.) Seal all abandoned drains below floors. Install new 1 1/2" water line from meter to building to provide adequate water supply to blow-our toilets. Tie into water lines feeding our door spigots at ball field. Shut off valves for building and spigots. City must install new meter. 7. Structural: Build new 2x6 center wall with treated lumber. Cover with "T-111" siding on both sides. 8. Concrete: Repour floors as needed. Widen sidewalk on "snack bar" side to 5' pour footing for new CMU privacy wall. 9. Masonry: Replace 2 doors with 3'x7' steel frames and doors with push plates pulls and closers. Block up old doorways. Block up old windows. Construct "ell shaped" privacy wall for restroom on old "snack bar" side. Proposals received after this time will be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject all proposals, to request additional information concerning any proposals for purposes of clarification, and to waive any irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation process. This RFP does not obligate the City to pay any cost incurred by respondents in the preparation of the proposals. Furthermore, this RFP does not obligate the City to accept or contract for any implied services.
