This project consists of removing and replacing of the HVAC system within the Health Center and construction associated with the new installation. This will consist of removing any existing duct work and associated equipment and fixtures, installing new concrete pads, a new furnace and duct work, ceiling repairs associated with installation, and new wall penetrations as needed for the system. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of ten percent (10%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of 5% of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000, However the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER.The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors,suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form. MBE/WBE/DBE's are encouraged to submit. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
