As of March 18, 2022. The project has been awarded to Meja Construction Company no amount available. This project includes the demolition of existing heating and exhaust systems at 29 different elementary school gymnasiums, and the installation of new air conditioning systems for these gymnasiums. Demolition includes removal of interior intake and exhaust grilles and wall patching and painting, ductwork demolition, and removal of either heating hot water unit heaters and associated hot water piping, or removal of gas fired unit heaters. Demolition may include the demolition of exhaust fans. Demolition includes removal of associated electrical power circuits and electrical devices and gas piping supporting removed equipment. The project includes installing new DX split system fan coil units and heat pumps in some schools, or gas fired rooftop air conditioning units at other schools. New work includes painted rectangular and spiral supply ductwork and supply grilles, as well as new electrical circuits, and new gas pipe for gas fired rooftop units. The project also includes control work to incorporate the new air conditioning units into the existing DDC control systems, structural supports for new air conditioning systems, and Test and Balance work. This project is funded by Federal Stimulus Funds and will be subject to the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ("ARRA") of 2009 which requires, compliance with Federal Davis-Bacon Act, 40 USC 3141 et. Seq. and other Federal statutes and regulations. Only a bid submitted by a Bidder on record with the Architect as having received plans and specifications from the Architect will be opened. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
