Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

With the assistance of County Staff, the selected consultant will be tasked with creating a development plan for the 10-acre property surrounding the main campground and creating a redevelopment plan for the main swim beach. Final product will include plan sets and cost estimates detailed enough to use to apply for grant funding in 2022 or 2023. Development plans for around the campground will be informed by public comment and guided by the Plum Creek Park Committee. However, generally the expansion will include 24-30 additional RV campsites with full hookups, additional bathroom facilities, and playground and other recreational equipment. Layout of supporting infrastructure will also be included in plan (electric, sewer, road, etc.). Park is currently serviced by rural water. Redevelopment plans for the lake front will be informed by public comment and guided by the Plum Creek Park Committee. However, generally the redevelopment will include a refreshed entrance to the beach from the parking lot, new bathroom/changing facilities, new sidewalk and entrance to the beach, and an innovative approach to providing a sand beach in a fluctuating reservoir.
