LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed Bids will be received by the Township Clerk of the Township of West Milford, New Jersey, 07480, on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:30 am prevailing time and opened and read in public at the West Milford Municipal Building, 1480 Union Valley Road for the following: MAINTENANCE OF BALLFIELDS AND OTHER SITES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST MILFORD Specifications for the above may be examined in the office of the Township Clerk, 1480 Union Valley Road, West Milford, New Jersey, 07480, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Any person, firm, or corporation desiring a copy of the Specification Documents may obtain such from the Township Clerk's Office. Please call the Clerk's office at 973-728-7000 regarding obtaining of copy of the bid. Bidders must use the prepared Proposal Form. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Township Clerk, Township of West Milford, marked on the outside with the name and address of the bidder and the name of the contract being bid, and delivered on or before the hour set forth above. NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE NOTICED DATE FOR RECEIPT OF SAME. Bidders are required to attend a Pre-Bid Walk Thru either on Tuesday February 22, 2022 or Wednesday February 23, 2022 beginning at 10:00 AM at Town Hall. YOU MUST CALL ED, DPW DIRECTOR AT 973-728-2713 to schedule an appointment. The Pre-Bid Walk Thru is mandatory. No bids will be accepted by a vendor that does not participate in the walk thru. The Township of West Milford reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Township reserves the right to award the contract based on the Base Bid and any combination of alternate bids, as shall best serve the interest of the Township. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00 made payable to the Township of West Milford, together with a "Consent of Surety" from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey in a form satisfactory to the Township, stating that it will provide the contractor with a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price bid. All guarantees of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of contract to the successful bidder. Bidding information contained in this Proposal should be clear and not subject to qualifications, deletions, erasures, or other marking that create any doubt as to its meaning. Bidders should make sure that Bid Proposal is signed by a duly authorized person on behalf of the bidder and that the Proposal is responsive. Bidders can determine the responsiveness of their Proposal by reading "Information for Bidders". INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EXACTLY OR THE BID MAY BE DECLARED NON-RESPONSIVE. The Township Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept such bids as it may deem to be in the best interests of the Township of West Milford, and reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received, and the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. NTB-1 Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 2004, c. 57, which pertains to the New Jersey Business Registration Requirements. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 which pertains to affirmative action rule and P.L.1977, c. 33, which refers to the statement of corporation ownership.
