Renovation of a municipal facility in Gatineau, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Place de Portage III facility was built in the 1970s and will be rehabilitated into a modern complex to update and modernize the base building services. It consists of nine (9) towers varying from 3 to 18 floors, which includes a connecting 3-storey bridge over Maisonneuve Boulevard. The anticipated Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Supply and installation of reinforcing steel, removal of various concrete elements to facilitate new concrete, shear walls, curbs, housekeeping pads, ramps and cast-in-place concrete steps, slab on grade removal and replacement, concrete infills, drilling and doweling for seismic reinforcement, various concrete/epoxy repairs, and the temporary shoring to facilitate the concrete demolition works.
