Lift Station #5 is located near Florin Drive which connects to US-1. There is an opportunity to replace this lift station with a larger lift station that can accept additional sewage flow from other Lift Stations located on US-1 and south of Florin Drive. Sewage can be diverted west instead of north, which will reduce the amount of sewage that enters Lift Station 47. Lift Station 47 is low-lying, located on the Turkey Creek, and can be susceptible to overflows. The project involves the full replacement of Lift Station #5 and the installation of approximately 4,200 linear feet of force main to be installed along Florin Drive NE and Port Malabar Boulevard NE. This project is in included in the City of Palm Bay FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of November 10, 2022, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed.
