Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Akron, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
As of 2/24/22, per the owner this bid has been postponed and will be rescheduled due to an issue with the original scope of work. Improvements to the HVAC system at the Newstead Senior Center as per specifications set forth in the bid package. This contract will be funded wholly or partially with federal funds, and as such, is subject to all federal rules and regulations pertinent thereto, including, but not limited to, federal policy of encouraging the participation of minority and women business enterprises as sources of suppliers, equipment, construction and services. Work performed under any accepted bid is subject to payment of prevailing wage rates with the wage rate schedule attached as part of the proposal form. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the opening thereof, but a bidder may withdraw same any time prior to the scheduled date and time for the opening. The right to reject any and all bids, to waive any formalities in, or to make an award to other than the lowest bidder, should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town of Newstead and in accordance with law, is hereby reserved The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond acceptable to the Town, in an amount equal to the contract award. Performance Bond - in an amount not less than 100% of the total payable to the bidder by terms of the contract Payment Bond - in an amount not less than 100% of the total amount payable to the bidder by the terms of the contract Bidders will be required to provide liability insurance coverage as required by the Town, and bidders must furnish proof of uninterrupted workers compensation insurance All materials and services provided by bidder shall carry at least a three (3) year warranty. General: . Comply with all applicable codes and standards; See attached SECTION 235416 - GAS-FIRED FURNACE. . Efficiencies shall meet or exceed code requirements. . Contact National Fuel Gas at (844) 365-3493 prior to purchase to coordinate potential rebates. . Review existing equipment and installations prior to purchasing replacement equipment. Furnace 1: Provide a condensing natural gas fired furnace with split DX cooling. . Vertical condensing gas furnace . Split DX cooling coil . Remote condensing unit . Refrigerant line sets; precharged . MERV-13 filters . UV-C in the return air duct boot (facing the dirty side of the filter) . Programmable thermostat (7-day; occupied fan on; unoccupied fan auto) . Duct transitions as required . Reuse existing; modify as required for new installation: Furnace 2: Provide a condensing natural gas fired furnace with split DX cooling. . Vertical condensing gas furnace . Split DX cooling coil . Remote condensing unit . Refrigerant line sets; precharged . MERV-13 filters . UV-C in the return air duct boot (facing the dirty side of the filter) . Programmable thermostat (7-day; occupied fan on; unoccupied fan auto) . Duct transitions as required Work must commence by April 15, 2022 and must be completed by June 30, 2022.
