As of February 2024, this project is under construction. A construction manager has been selected and this project is in the pre-construction/negotiated status. Construction documents are being finalized and it is anticipated bidding will commence early 2024. Site work has already begun. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference This Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) project includes preconstruction and full construction services for the construction of the Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI) Utah Translational Research Facility at the University of Utah. The project will include a new research building of approximately 185,000 GSF and will include an on-site parking garage as part of this project. The parking garage is currently estimated at $15,000,000.00 and is not included in the published FLCC. The delivery of the parking structure has yet to be determined due to unknown project proximities. The FLCC is limited to: $90,000,000.00. The contractor is also hereby notified that the $100,000 incentive for "contingency management" in Article 3.D in the CM/GC contract is removed. The State will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the FLCC, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on the AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond form, or equivalent shall accompany the Cost Proposal. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
