SCOPE: This specification is to provide hauling services of bulk roadway maintenance materials to support maintenance and emergency operations. Emergency operations may include providing services before, during and after inclement weather, a natural disaster, an act of terrorism, or other catastrophic event. This solicitation is to establish a contract for services to provide hauling services with operators for the Special Jobs Crews within the Tyler District. (Reference Attachment B). Successful respondent will provide up to fourteen (14) dump trucks with operators for 10 to 12 cuyd capacity, tandem axle dump trucks for the Tyler District to include the following counties: Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Henderson, Smith, Van Zandt, Wood, Gregg counties and Special Crew Jobs. The initial term of one year commences upon the issuance of a contract by TxDOT and expires on October 31, 2023 with the option to renew for three one-year periods at TxDOT's sole discretion. TxDOT will provide an intent to renew notice, in writing, 30 calendar days prior to expiration of the current term. 1st Renewal Option November 1, 2023 through October 31, 2024 2nd Renewal Option November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025 3rd Renewal Option November 1, 2025 through October 31, 2026 NOTE: The dates are estimated based on the anticipated award.
