Site work and paving for a civil project in Jasper, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Scope of Work: Providing material, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary to completely replace the washed-out culvert pipe/headwalls, and reconstruct the collapsed road embankment section along Gennett Drive. Work will include, but not be limited to: traffic control, minor clearing and grubbing, roadway and slope grading/construction, roadway construction (GAB only), erosion control, grassing, culvert pipe and headwall (pre-cast or cast in-place) construction, temporary drainage, temporary stream diversion/pumping and work area dewatering as necessary. All work shall conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition; GDOT's Supplemental Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021; and all applicable GDOT Standards and Details. (Note: The City of Jasper has completed the relocation of the Watermain as shown in the plans to avoid conflict with the reconstruction of the new culvert pipe and removed debris from the failed culvert, concrete paving, headwalls and guardrails. Asphalt paving, stripping and guardrail installation to be provided by City of Jasper under separate action or contract following completion of roadway embankment) Project work will be required to begin within 90 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed and be substantially complete within 180 calendar days. All punch-list items will be required to be complete within 30 days of the Final Inspection. Eligible bidders and subcontractors shall be licensed Contractors in the State of Georgia meeting all applicable insurance and bonding requirements as stipulated in the separate Instructions to Bidders and Contract Documents. Verifying documents for the prime contractor/bidder will be required prior to contract award, and for all subcontractors prior beginning work. No documents will be mailed. Responses will be posted to the Engineer's FTP site as an Addendum. Additional addendums may be issued during the proposal period. All proposers are responsible to check the Engineer's FTP site for addendums. Proof of General Liability Insurance and Workman's Compensation Insurance will be required with the City of Jasper Commission listed as an additional insured. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Funds in the amount of 5% of the Bid Amount. All contractors must comply with the provisions of O.C.G.A. Sec. 13-10-91, and must register and participate in the federal work authorization program (also known as E-Verify ). A contractor must submit the required affidavit BEFORE ANY PROPOSAL IS CONSIDERED. A form affidavit shall be provided with the proposal package. City of Jasper, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes and regulations, hereby notifies all proposers that it will affirmatively ensure that in regards to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
