This project consists of the cleaning, televising, and removal of waste from various combined sewers throughout the Village. The total footage to be addressed is approximately 11,000'. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Maywood for a period forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The Contractor and Subcontractor shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check in an amount which shall not be less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. The successful bidder for the work will be required to furnish sufficient insurance to the Village of Maywood and the Engineer against all damage claims that might arise due to the negligence of the Contractor, and will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract. The contractor shall be paid in cash for the work to be performed. The Village of Maywood reserves the right in receiving these bids to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids.
