Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Johnson City, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 40,000-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility.
The University is seeking a qualified design firm to work on this project. The renovation of the Gannett Building is a partial renovation to convert from a former newspaper printing facility into a Library Annex / Collection Management Facility. The work includes renovating one 14,000 sq. ft. high bay warehouse space into high pile shelving system for library books and materials. The scope also includes carving office / accessory spaces from an adjacent 26,000 warehouse space. The existing MEP will be updated to include HVAC zoning for the offices and humidification, electrical upgrades and lighting along with highly modified sprinkler system for the Library shelving. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
