The City of Gardner is requesting bids for the purpose of constructing the proposed lift station, force main, and associated appurtenances. The project includes, but is not limited to: precast wet well with two submersible pumps, below ground valve vault enclosure, package engine generator, a flow meter in a vault, approximately 380 feet of 6-inch force main, electrical building, and associated appurtenances. Pre-Bid Question Deadline: February 17, 2022 at 5:00 PM The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. Bids may only be withdrawn or corrected pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 75-6902, as amended, et seq. Bids may be modified or withdrawn by written request of the Bidder if such requests are received in the office of the City Clerk, prior to the time and date for Bid opening. Substantial completion shall be achieved 150 days from Notice of Award. Final completion shaii be achieved August 4, 2022. The overall project consists of installing a force main from the pump station west of Interstate 35 (I-35) to a new pump station planned east of Clare Road approximately 0.5-mile south of 175 th Street. The City of Gardner is also planning to add an additional pump station, referred to as the west pump station, that will be located approximately 145 feet east of Cedar Niles Road that is also approximately 0.5-mile south of 175 th Street. The west pump station will have a maximum depth of 20 feet. The site location and topography of the area per the 2016 U.S.G.S. topographic map is shown on Figure 1.
