Renovation of a fire / police facility in Fairfield, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The Project work generally consists of, but not limited to, the following: construction of a high build, fully reinforced, polyurea restoration system over the properly prepared single ply roof system. Scope of work includes: 1. Coverage of all intakes with plastic in area of work prior to applying coating systems. 2. Sweeping, removing and disposing of all dirt and/or debris. 3. Pressure washing of the entire roof surface with commercial cleaning equipment. 4. Install new 60 Mil KEE base flashings up and over existing parapet wall. 5. Install New Kynar coated 24g steel coping cap around entire perimeter. 6. Remove all sections of patched and deteriorated single ply and tie into existing roof system like in kind. 7. Removal of all drain clamp rings. Three courses with polyether adhesive, reset ring and bolt tight. 8. Install polyester reinforced butyl tape at all single ply seams and laps 9. Application of 2-part low odor urethane topcoat over entire roof at 3.5g per sq Stripping, priming and three coursing of all sheet metal joints (ducting and curb cap) with urethane and 6" uni bond tape. 10. Replacement of all exposed wood blocking with new neoprene blocks. Bid Guaranty and Bonding Requirements are as follows: (a) a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid price must be submitted with bid proposal, (b) the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of total bid price. February 22, 2022; 4:00 PM Deadline for Bid Questions Proof of compliance with insurance requirements (including certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements) shall be provided by the successful contractor. Coverage shall be for the following amounts: (a) Commercial General Liability - $3,000,000 each occurrence, $6,000,000 each aggregate, (b) Automobile Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence, and (c) Worker's Compensation/Employer's Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence. The Contractor shall perform with his/her own organization, work of a value amounting to not less than fifty (50) percent of the remainder obtained by subtracting from the total original value the sum of any items that may be designated as "Specialty Items" in the Special Provisions. Pursuant to the California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989, Assembly Bill, at least 50% of the waste generated from this construction project, as measured by weight, shall be recycled. Whomever is responsible for collecting and transporting waste stored and/or transported in containers, as defined in Chapter 9 of the Fairfield Municipal Code (section 9.030 "Defined Terms and Phrases"), shall become authorized to do so by entering into a Collection Agreement approved by the City of Fairfield. The collectors and/or haulers of all other waste generated by this project shall not require authorization, but the recycling requirements will still apply and will be monitored for compliance by the City. As near as possible to the noticed time and date for the bid opening, the Zoom conference will begin, and the bid opening will proceed. At the conclusion of the bid opening, the apparent low bidder, the apparent low bidders listed sub-contractors and the anticipated City Council Award of Contract date will be announced. Within 24 hours, the results of the bid opening shall be posted to the City of Fairfield website. Bidders are recommended to schedule an appointment to drop off bids. Public Works staff shall indicate on the sealed bid the time and date of bid receipt to validate the bid was appropriately received. Bids received after the time and date specified in the Notice to Contractors shall be rejected as invalid. It is solely the bidder's responsibility to ensure that bids are received prior to the specified time.
