As of Decmeber 15, 2023, per owner, an engineer has been selected. The project has not been bid but is anticipated to be bid in the next 6 months. The project is waiting for permission to bid from Rural Development. Construction is anticipated to begin within 60 days of bidding. The Greater Fleming County Regional Water Commission will retain a qualified engineering firm to provide preliminary scope and cost estimate, planning, design, and other required services to rehab the interior and exterior of an existing 500,000 gallon steel elevated water storage tank. Sources of funding may include but are not limited to Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA), American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), USDA Rural Development, and other such state and federal funding opportunities Greater Fleming County Regional Water Commission will accept Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms interested in working on this project Proposals will be ranked on the basis of written materials as set forth in the RFQ packet. The Greater Fleming County Regional Water Commission reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. The solicitation for Statements of Qualifications is being conducted to fulfill state/federal funding agency procurement requirements. Attention of respondents to this RFQ is called to the following requirements: 1) Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; 2) Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; 3) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 4) Executive Order 11246; 5) Certification of Non-segregated Facilities. All of these may be incorporated into any contract issued pursuant to this solicitation.
