Converting the existing anaerobic digester to an aerobic digester. Ancillary equipment as part of the anaerobic digestion process including, but not limited to, the cover, heat exchanger, gas handling equipment, biogas piping, gas compressor and gas flare will be removed as part of this project. Two (2) positive displacement blowers will be provided as the air source for the aerobic digestion process. New stainless steel piping will be installed from the blower to the new coarse bubble diffusers within the tank. The sludge transfer pump will be replaced including associated piping and valves. The sludge recirculation piping will also be reconfigured. Improvements include all ancillary sitework, structural, architectural, process piping and equipment, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, and instrumentation and controls.
