This project, located in Baltimore County, is for the safety and resurfacing of a portion of I-70 from Howard County Line (Mile Point 0.0) to IS-695 (Mile Point 02.850) including all entrance/exit ramps to/from I-70 west of IS-695. The approximate length of the project is 3.40 miles. The work will consist of the following: (a)Roadway milling and resurfacing/overlay; (b)Cleaning and repair of existing drainage pipes and structures; (c) Ditch trimming and brush removal; (d) Traffic barrier and traffic barrier end treatments; (e) Erosion and Sediment Control measures; (f) Signing and Pavement Marking (g) Replacement of Automatic Traffic Recorder (ATR) loop detectors A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
