Scope of Work: Remodel existing x-ray room for a new CT Scanner. This will include selective demolition, electrical, mechanical, new walls, doors, lead lining, patch & paint, and new flooring. Some roof repair and penetrations for new chiller. Q & A deadline: Mar 28, 2022 5:00:00 PM CDT Persons or companies bidding on this project shall hold a current Utah Contractors License covering the type of work to be done and shall be bondable to the amount of the Contract. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to The University of Utah, must be procured and submitted to the University of Utah within 24 hours after the bid due time. The bid bond may be scanned and submitted electronically at the time of the bid. Construction Constraints: 3 or more years of healthcare construction in a hospital clinical setting. Knowledge of all applicable healthcare codes, including NFPA 101 Life Safety code, previous work experience with Alternate Life Safety measures (ALSM), and Infection Control risk Assessment (ICRA) Questions raised at the meeting will be noted and answers will be included in an addendum issued prior to the bid opening. A list of Contractors who attended the meeting will be included in the addendum. Please note that only persons directly employed by the represented Contractor may sign for that Contractor; and, only the bids supplied by Contractors who are listed in the addendum will be opened. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University.
