The City of Oshawa is looking to procure construction services for the redevelopment of two (2) parks: Cordova Valley Park, located at 811 Glen Street, Oshawa; and, Fenelon / Venus Park, located at 1230 Venus Crescent, Oshawa. The City reserves the right to award in whole (both Cordova Valley Park and Fenelon/Venus Park), or in part (Cordova Valley Park only). Fenelon / Venus Park may or may not be awarded, or may be awarded within 90 days of bid close. Scope of services within this project include mobilization, site layout and grading, excavation works, asphalt paving, cast-in-place concrete, playground and splashpad installation, site furnishings, utility connections including electrical servicing and water connection, sodding, seeding, and planting works. All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings, specifications, appendices, and attachments of this Request for Tender (R.F.T.). Bidders are to bid on each park in whole. Tender award will be based on the Schedule of Prices. The Provisional Schedule of Prices is optional work the City may or may not award. The tender will be awarded to the lowest compliant combined bid for both parks. The project sites are located at 811 Glen Street, Oshawa, and 1230 Venus Crescent, Oshawa. Work must be continuous from the project start date until project completion. The successful Contractor will be required to submit a detailed project schedule upon award of this Contract as well as interim schedules as required by the project manager and/or Contract administrator. Cordova Valley Park must be substantially complete by December 31, 2022. Fenelon / Venus Park is to be substantially complete by December 31, 2022 if awarded with Cordova Valley Park. Fenelon / Venus Park is to be substantially complete by June 15, 2023 if awarded subsequent to Cordova Valley Park.
