Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Chatham Township, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Bid Documents. Said improvement will involve the removal of the existing twin 96" CMP and installation of a new 20' x 6' 4-sided box culvert including premium bedding & backfill, concrete footers & wingwalls, ditching ,ditch enclosures, catch basins, guardrail, asphalt pavement and general excavation involving ditch realignment & fine grading in preparation of seeding and incorporating stipulated traffic control in accordance with the specifications and accompanying construction drawings. The road shall be closed for a maximum of 45 calendar days. The Engineer's estimate is $194,194.40. No contract shall be awarded at a price more than ten percent in excess of the Engineer's estimate. All proposals shall be submitted electronically through web service. An Alternate Bid for a "Cast in Place" 20'x6' 4-Sided Box is included with this bid. The Medina County Highway Engineer reserves the right to award this Alternate-1 bid if it is in the best interest of the county. A letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of the County. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements detailed in the Bid Documents shall be required. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contract compliance with the Equal Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Contractors and Subcontractors must comply with the prevailing wage rates requirements detailed in the Bid Documents. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder.
