The Town of Waterville is currently accepting Proposals to provide and deliver flow meters and meter reading equipment consistent with an Automatic Meter Reading ("AMR") System. In an effort to achieve more accurate readings and upgrade the aging meter reading infrastructure, the Town has determined that a new meter reading platform is needed which allows for meter reading times to be minimized, minimal reading errors, upgraded technology implementation, compliance with regulatory agencies, and water meter alarm notifications. The Town is seeking an AMR system that includes ultrasonic meters with sizes of 5/8" x 3/4 " and 1 inch. Meters up to one inch shall be made of composite construction with no moving parts.
The AMR system reading equipment hardware must include the applications for walk-by and drive-by.
The AMR system reading equipment hardware must be user friendly, simple to use, provide detailed information, and have the capability to be upgraded to an AMI system in the future.
The AMR System must allow Town staff to easily manipulate the Town's CIS in order to allow for changes in the customer information.
The AMR meter reading software should be aesthetically pleasing, simple for users to navigate, and be capable of storing all of the Town's CIS data related to meter reading. The meter reading software shall have at least two licenses for access concurrently. The Software shall interface with the Town ' s Billing system.
Training for all portions of the AMR system, software and hardware, shall be included in the Proposal.
