All producer/suppliers are hereby notified that they shall have been prequalified with the NCDOT as an approved drainage pipe producer/supplier prior to submitting a price quote for the desired drainage pipe materials. Bids shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after February 15, 2022. Address all questions regarding this bid in writing to Mark Waller, AVCON, Inc. Project Engineer, (803) 530- 2244 or mwaller@avconinc.com. Written questions from prospective producers/suppliers will be accepted up to February 8, 2022, at 5:00 pm local time. After that, no questions will be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Forsyth County intends to construct the RUNWAY 15-33 Rehabilitation Project at the Smith Reynolds Airport during the months of June and July of 2022. Due to pent up demand and the current industrial production and supply chain bottlenecks resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the County is seeking proposals from pre-qualified NCDOT producer/suppliers to produce and deliver drainage pipe materials necessary to construct the project prior to the project construction beginning in June 2022. The desired drainage materials consist of new 30" Class V, Reinforced Concrete Pipe and a pre-cast 30" reinforced concrete flared end section. Specifications for the desired drainage materials are attached to this Invitation for Bids. Producer/supplier shall warranty all products for a one (1) year time period. Time is of the essence for the delivery of the desired drainage materials. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per day shall be assessed against the producer/supplier for each day the producer/supplier fails to deliver the materials beyond the Sixty (60) Consecutive Calendar Day Contract time.
