Optional bid items include treatment on the approach road to the parking lot, striping parking areas, and grading a parking area for horse trailer parking. All the areas, to which pavement preservation treatments shall be applied, shall be swept clean and all vegetation removed from asphalt surfaces prior to all applications of asphalt preservation treatments. Payment for contract work will be made only for and under those pay items included in the Schedule of Items. All other work and materials will be considered as incidental to and included in the payment for items shown in the bid schedule. The parking area shall be closed during construction but shall be fully open for traffic for the Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, and Labor Day weekends. The parking lot shall only be closed for 30 calendar days.
