Site work and paving for a civil project in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Work consists generally of the following: All Work improvements complete including, but not limited to; demolition of existing asphalt pavement, structures/foundations/existing items per plan; remove/relocate existing items; grading and compaction of structure backfill for building pad; install a new wet well lid and safety grate; install new pumps, rails receivers and appurtenances; install new miscellaneous valves, and pre-cast concrete vaults; install new electrical and instrumentation (may include control panel, pump control cabinet, VFD panel, spare and new conduits); relocate existing PG&E underground service and replace with new meter main and panelboard with distribution; install new electrical components for disconnect, new transfer switch, new termination panel and new connection for mobile generator; install a new pre-engineered wood-framed building package (Tuff Shed or approved equal); construct a new HMA pavement structural section; construct new asphalt dikes; install temporary best management practices (BMPs) devices for erosion control; install rip-rap lined channel; construct new reinforced concrete foundations and slabs-on-grade; emergency storage tank improvements; and traffic control during construction. The County has estimated cost of the Work to be: Four Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($473,675.00). The successful bidder must possess at all times a valid Class A General Building Contractors License issued by the State of California. The Work is subject to the payment of not less than prevailing wages under Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. Bidders are hereby notified that the Director of Industrial Relations has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the rates for overtime and holiday work in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work under the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Copies are on file with and available upon request from the Department of Facility Services or at online. Bidders are further notified that this project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Further information on Compliance Monitoring Unit requirements can be found at online. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22300, the successful bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the County to insure performance of the Work.
