The Repair/Replace Roofs CMHFIL (Package 3 - Breezeways) will be replacing one exterior covered walkway on the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan located in Denver, Colorado. (1) Building E - Exterior walkway is the main path of travel for food delivery from the main kitchen and dining area to the cottages located to the east. All roofs contain non-friable asbestos. The materials must remain non-friable during removal. The contractor is required to know, understand, and comply with all regulations required to remove non-friable asbestos and lead based paint. No mechanical removal means of the nonfriable asbestos will be allowed. See the asbestos & lead reports in the Google Drive for your reference. The awarded contractor shall comply with all State and CDHS COVID, Security and HIPAA protocols as established. The walkway under the breezeways is currently being used by hospital staff on a daily basis to transport food on food carts to the cottages to the east. Food carts are used during the breakfast, lunch and dinner hours and the awarded contractor will need to work around this schedule.
