Site work and paving for a civil project in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The Work consists of pavement saw-cutting; excavation; installation of drainage structures; installation of pipes and electrical conduit; hot mix asphalt paving; restoration; and other work as more specifically described in the contract documents. The bid includes the following bid items: Base Bid: Work under this item includes all work as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. Payment for each item shall be on a Lump Sum basis. Each item shall include all work elements necessary to complete the improvements called for. This shall include all mobilization, demolition, labor, materials, equipment, hauling, and incidental costs required to complete the Work. Environmental controls, barriers and site security measures, pavement saw-cutting, control of water, and shoring are included as incidental costs. All work under this Contract shall be in conformance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges 2020 Edition; the Supplemental Specifications, dated June 30, 2020; the Construction Standard Details dated October 2017; the current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways with latest revisions; the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports; the 1996 Construction and Traffic Standard Details; the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting; the American Standards for Nursery Stock (ANSI-Z60.1-2004), all as amended, and the Contract Documents. The General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions and Special Provisions shall take precedence over the General Requirements of Division I of the Standard Specifications.
