The proposed project consists of installing approximately 1,494 linear feet of precast concrete fence from the end of the existing precast concrete fence near the intersection of Toepperwein Road and Forest Bluff and continue to the southeast to the intersection with Narrow Pass. In addition to the above section, an additive alternate of approximately 1,578 linear feet of precast concrete fence from Narrow Pass to the Live Oak city limits is proposed. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each proposal. The successful respondent will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible Surety Company, authorized to do business in the State of Texas upon execution of the construction contract. Bids will be received for a single Contract. Bids shall be provided on a unit price basis as indicated on the Bid Form. The City of Live Oak expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive minor irregularities or informalities. The project will be awarded to the respondent that provides the best value to the City. A respondent's failure to respond to the requested qualifications inquiry may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. Bids may be held by the City of Live Oak for a period not to exceed 60 days from the bid due date for the purpose of reviewing the bids and researching respondent's qualifications prior to the contract award.
