Site work and paving for a road / highway in Thomasville, Georgia. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of June 1, 2022, Project is being redesigned and will go back out to bid at a later date.** The project involves placement of Graded Aggregate Base in areas with base failures. The entire road section will receive an overlay of both 19 mm asphalt at 220 lbs./sy and 12.5 mm asphalt overlay at 165 lbs./sy. The length of total paving required is 1434 Linear Feet. The work to be performed for this project involves road resurfacing & doesn't require a licensed utility contractor to submit a bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for request of bids for sixty days. Bidder shall be a certified Ga Department of Transportation contractor & will furnish all materials, labor, equipment & performing all work required to complete the project Proposals won't be considered by Owner unless Bidder is on record as purchasing & receiving complete Bid Docs. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Ck or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid. If awarded the Contract, bidder will submit separate Payment & Performance Bond each for 100% of the Contract amount. The City of Thomasville, reserves the right to reject any & all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, and/or to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
