Scope of Work: The project scope includes demolition of an existing parking area and basketball court, installation of a new concrete parking lot, restroom building, shade structure, splashing pad and plaza with seating area. New plantings and irrigation. Square Footage: 44,000 ft 2 __________________________________________________________________________ The Fain Group (CMAR) and the City of Mansfield, Texas (Owner) will accept sealed bids for McClendon Park West Splash Pad, in accordance with the plans and specifications as prepared by Pacheco Koch. Two (2) borings were drilled for this project to depths of approximately 25 feet below existing grade for the shade structure and restroom building. Three (3) borings were drilled to depths of approximately 10 feet below existing grade for the paving and pedestrian flatwork. Subsurface conditions consist of a wide variety of soils including clayey sands in the upper approximately 2 to 9 feet followed by sandy lean clays, lean clays, and clays to approximately 5 to 17 feet, and clayey sands and sands to the completion depth of the borings.. Shallow subsurface seepage was observed in the borings at depths of approximately 18 to 20 feet below existing grade. The Potential Vertical Movement (PVM) due to expansion and/or contraction of the soils encountered in the borings is estimated to be approximately 1 to 2 inches for a full moisture cycle. Proposed structures including the pavilion, restroom and splash pad can be supported on typical slab-on-grade foundations as described herein. Pavement for the parking lot and drives should consist of a minimum of 6 inches of reinforced concrete placed on a compacted and tested subgrade. This web site will be updated with addenda, plan holders lists, bid tabulations, additional reports or other information relevant to bidding the Project. Bid Proposal must be submitted on the forms bound within the bidding documents. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of forty five days (45) days from the date bids are opened. The right to accept any bid, or to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities is hereby reserved by the Owner & CMAR.
