This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 25% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on May 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the above subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, pavement reconstruction and culvert replacement on I-80 from east of Ridge Road to east of River Road. The work to be performed under this contract includes construction of new continuously reinforced PCC pavement, concrete median barrier wall, PCC shoulders, grading work, culvert removal and replacements, erosion control, pavement marking and signage installation, maintenance of traffic, construction layout, landscaping, any and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. The following structures may be in this project: o S.N. 099-8342: Proposed Culvert west of Shepley Road over I-80 o S.N. 099-8343: Proposed Culvert east of Shepley Road over I-80 o S.N. 099-8344: Proposed Culvert west of River Road over I-80 Quality Assurance (QA) oversight and Contractor's Quality Control (QC) by the same Consultant or one of their Subconsultants on the same project or on material coming in from the same plant is prohibited. At the negotiations meeting, the Prime Consultant, and subconsultant(s) will disclose all current relationships with contractors. The anticipated construction completion date is August 31, 2024. The Consultant must complete and submit final measurements, calculations, and final contract records documents to the department no later than six (6) weeks after the completion of the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
