As of December 13, 2023, this project has been completed. The State University of New York at System Administration is seeking proposals for engineering design to provide air conditioning and fire protection / fire alarm adjustments for the interior renovation of the 4th floor of SUNY System Administration's Old Federal Building. The Agreement for the project shall be a Cost-Plus Fixed Fee Agreement. The designated Campus contact is Megan Murad, Project Manager for Capital Projects, State University of New York at System Administration, located at 353 Broadway, Albany, NY 12246. The interior renovation will include: The center area will be subdivided into 3 spaces: one (1) equipment room and two (2) new open office areas: the first measuring approximately 1,300 SF and the second approximately 1,800 SF. The second office area will be connected to an internal conference room and some private offices with limited perimeter exposures measuring approximately 900 SF. Along the perimeter, we will be adding private offices and a break room. The cooling system for these spaces are to be connected to the existing chilled water system. The Center spaces will utilize above ceiling mounted, ducted fan coil units with chilled water coils. The new perimeter offices will utilize floor mounted ducted fan coil units with chilled water coils. Fire Protection and Fire Alarm design to include the adjustment to the existing sprinkler branch and head locations on the 4th floor to ensure code compliant coverage in the new office spaces, break room and equipment room. Alarm adjustments as needed to meet 2020 NYS Codes.
