Job No. D-91-052-22, Various Traffic Signal System Monitoring and Coordination/Timing (SCAT) Projects, Various Routes, Various Counties, Region One/District One. This project requires 5% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 27, 2022 at 9:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Engineering services are required primarily for the monitoring of all District One signal systems using the appropriate software either over dedicated phone lines, through ethernet or cellular based systems. Two (2) reports will be produced; one is a Controller Monitoring report issued weekly, the second is a System Detector report issued bi-weekly. Regular attendance, by the consultant's Project Engineer, for District meetings is required. Work shall also include developing traffic signal coordination and timing reports, preparing/reviewing traffic related contract plans, respond to traffic signal operational issues and assist IDOT staff with signal inspections. Work orders under the blanket agreement will be negotiated and authorized by the department on an as-needed basis. The estimated engineering fee for this project is $800,000. The completion date for this contract will be 60 months after authorization to proceed The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project: Special Studies (Signal Coordination & Timing (SCAT)) Special Studies (Traffic Studies) Special Plans (Traffic Signals) Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS).
