This item of work shall consist of furnishing and applying an epoxy paint to the pavement, a reflectorized pigment pavement marking in accordance with our specifications, and of the width, type as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall clean the pavement prior to the application of the pavement markings. The Town requires a pre-award demonstration of the equipment to be used. This contract may be canceled by the Town at its sole discretion. The Contractor and crew must hold current licenses to perform this work in the State of Rhode Island. Painting shall be done from 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to no later than 6:00 a.m. Composition, binder, pigments and compound pavement marking materials shall conform to the requirements of Section M.17, Materials, of the Rhode Island Standard Specification for Roads & Bridge Construction. Emergency telephone numbers must be provided for contacting contractor's personnel. The contractor shall be on call to work when requested. The work schedule shall be mutually agreed upon between the town and the contractor. The Town of Coventry reserves the exclusive right to perform any of the work covered by these specifications with its own personnel, if it is in the Town's best interest to do so. The Town of Coventry reserves the right to award this bid in part or in whole. The Town of Coventry reserves the right to cancel the contract immediately for failure to comply with these specifications.
