Contact Name: Sarah Whitehead, Ph: 830-591-4171, email: sawhitehead@swtjc.edu If awarded the Contract, the Offeror agrees to: (1) commence the Work within 3 days after Notice to Proceed with Construction is given to Offeror by the Owner (on or about April 1, 2022); (2) construct the Project in accordance with the plans and specifications as included in RFP #02-22 and achieve Substantial Completion for the entire Project no later than August 15, 2022; (3) immediately begin preparation of all submittals as defined by the Contract Documents A certified or cashier's check, or bid bond acceptable to Owner, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the largest amount proposed must accompany each Proposal submitted. Selected Offeror (also hereafter referred to as Contractor) shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, as required by law, each in the amount of the full contract price, and each on the forms promulgated by Owner. Southwest Texas Junior College reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, as well as accept any bid or portion thereof most advantageous to the College. W ork under this contract includes construction of the following facilities for the Southwest Texas Junior College at the Witt Building in Uvalde, Texas: 1. Remove the existing HVAC system and replace with a new ground mounted packaged unit, ductwork, fan powered boxes with electric heat, air devices, exhaust fans, and control system. 2. Remove the existing mechanical yard and expand with a new mechanical yard and screened wall. 3. Remove the existing ceilings and replace with new lay-in and gypboard. 4. Upgrade the building electrical service to accommodate the new HVAC equipment and provide new lighting. 5. Modify the existing waste system for the sinks in a lab room along with moving the existing electric water heater to be code compliant. Revise the routing of the existing roof drains near the mechanical yard to accommodate the new mechanical yard. 6. Provide conditioned storage for the existing FFE within the building for the duration of the project. The contractor is responsible for moving the FFE into the storage area and back to the building.
