Project No.: 521263 Description: The scope of this project includes the removal and replacement of the existing Smardt Chiller with a new 340-ton chiller, all electrical modifications as required, and the installation of a new refrigerant evacuation system. The contractor will reuse the existing pumps where possible, replace the condenser side piping and install a chemical treatment system. This project is open to prequalified contractors only. SJR State anticipates awarding BID-SJR-01-2022 to a single bidder submitting the lowest lump sum bid, meeting all bid specifications and within budget parameters. SJR State reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informalities in regards thereto, to waive any minor deviations in an otherwise valid bid proposal, to rebid or not, and to accept the bid which will be in the best interest of the College. The College is not necessarily bound to accept the lowest bid if that bid is contrary to its best interest. Bid award is anticipated on March 24, 2022. The successful bidder will enter into contract with the College immediately following award with notice to proceed to follow thereafter. No bidder may withdraw its bid for 60 days after bid opening.
