Renovation of a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
All contractor(s) and subcontractors(s) are subject to the current livable wage rate, in accordance with the City of Milwaukee Ordinance 310-13. Per 2015 WI Act 55, prevailing wage rate laws have been repealed for all MPS Construction Projects beginning January 1, 2017. Consultant Cost Estimate: $317,000.00 - $553,000 Bid Guaranty to Accompany Bid: MPS Bid Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check: 10% of Contractor's Base Bid. Each bid shall be for a fixed lump sum. HUB, COIN and Student Employment / Participation requirements for each Division are identified on the Project Manual Cover and Bid Form and defined within the Contract Compliance Services Participation Plan Requirements in the Project Manual. Submit bid forms per Instructions to Bidders, Article B-5 of the Specifications. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of disabled individuals at the bid opening through sign language interpreters or other auxiliary aids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Bidders are also allowed to visit each site on their own, however access to the school building will not be allowed. Bidders shall become acquainted with adjacent areas and to ascertain means of approach to site, conditions of actual job site, and facilities for delivering, storing, placing and handling of materials and equipment, all as described on drawings. Bidders shall also examine existing building as to type of construction and its conditions. Minimum COIN Participation required for this project is 15% Work on the project for Division 1 Benjamin Franklin Elementary School, Site #179and Division 4 Neeskara Elementary School, Site #283 shall be contracted by March 24, 2022, commenced on site on June 17, 2022, or at such date thereafter as may be required by conditions or as directed by the Director of Facilities and Maintenance Services, and shall be completed by: August 26, 2022 Work on the project for Division 3 Nathaniel Hawthorne Elementary School, Site #212 shall be contracted by March 24, 2022, commenced on site on May 31, 2022, or at such date thereafter as may be required by conditions or as directed by the Director of Facilities and Maintenance Services, and shall be completed by: August 5, 2022 School Milestone Dates: Last student day for Division 3 is on May 26, 2022 with the last teacher day on May 27; for Divisions 1 and 4 the last student day is on June 15, 2022 with last teacher day on June 16, 2022; dates may change pending school closing because of weather during the year.
