Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Katy, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of 3/29/2022 project was already awarded for $3,520,062.50. This project will be federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Texas General Land Office (GLO), and administered by the Harris County Community Services Department (HCCSD). Bidders shall comply with regulations governing the CDBG Disaster Recovery Program. Applicable requirements include, but are not limited to compliance with the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Fair Labor Standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, and contracting with small, minority, and disadvantage firms, as detailed in the project manual. The project involves the removal of existing asphalt pavement and driveways, and installation of concrete roadways and driveways with 5'wide sidewalks, various size storm ranging from 24" to 48" and 10' x 5' RCB sewer ranging from 24" to 48" and 10' x 5' reinforced concrete box (RCB), approximately 1,120 LF of 8", 745 LF of 12" water line and 295 LF of 12" sanitary sewer, traffic control, and storm water pollution prevention. Each PROPOSAL shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, the "bid security", in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds and Guaranty on the forms provided within ten days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. Bid sureties will be returned to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders the day of opening of PROPOSALS, and the remaining bid sureties will be returned after execution of the Contract. The successful bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE, PAYMENT, AND MAINTENANCE BONDS on the forms furnished with the PROPOSAL, in the amount of the total Contract price, from a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all PROPOSALS and to waive irregularities in the bidding. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the PROPOSAL, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject the PROPOSAL. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (DavisBacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas General Land Office - Community Development & Revitalization and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Katy is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Section 3 Residents, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Woman Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. All contractors/subcontractors who's System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration is not active or that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The project involves the removal of existing asphalt pavement and driveways, the removal of existing roadside c u l v e r ts an d st o rm s e we r r a n g i n g f r om 12 " to 4 8", the installation of concrete roadways and driveways with 5 ' w i d e sidewalks, various size storm ranging from 24" to 48" and 10' x 5' reinforced concrete Box (RCB), sewer ranging from 24" to 48", approximately 1,120 linear feet of 8" and 745 linear feet of 12" water line and 295 linear feet of 12" sanitary sewer (inc luding manhol e s), traffic control, and storm water pollution prevention, as well as all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required for the project.
