Renovation of a municipal facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, travel, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install one (1) chemical treatment system within the existing fire sprinkler system at Caltrans District 7 Office Facility, 100 South Main Street Los Angeles, CA 90012 in Los Angeles County. Written Question Submittal 02/10/2022 3:00 p.m. Proposed Award Date (estimate) 02/22/2022 Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by February 10, 2022. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to jean.mallare@dot.ca.gov. This Agreement will commence on March 1, 2022 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on March 1, 2023 (estimate). This Agreement requires Prevailing Wages if the total bid amount exceeds $15,000. If the total bid amount is under $15,000, then Prevailing Wage language will be removed prior to award. Liquidated damages of $500.00 assessed for administrative costs for re-bidding the work or awarding the work to another Contractor. If the successful bidder's bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. Payment Bond Requirement: If the total contract price exceeds $25,000, Contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. Caltrans may reject any bid on the basis that it is not responsive or from a non-responsible bidder and may waive any immaterial deviation in a bid. Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause.
