The CAWCD is seeking a qualified Design Build Team (DB Team) to provide Progressive Design Build services for the design, permitting and construction for the South Plants Fire Protection Phase 2 Project located at five locations within CAWCD including four pumping plants (Sandario, San Xavier, Brawley, Twin Peaks and Tucson Field Office) along the Central Arizona Project canal from Marana, Arizona to Tucson, Arizona. The combined estimated cost for both design and construction is $5,000,000 to $8,000,000. No paper documents will be accepted. Response to the solicitation shall be submitted in a single file on a USB Thumb Drive in PDF format ONLY. Offers submitted in a format (paper or electronic) different than specified may be rejected at the discretion of CAWCD. All responses must be submitted in a sealed envelope. The title and the Contractor's name and address must be clearly indicated on the envelope. Submittal of a USB Thumb Drive in response to this solicitation shall be construed as the intent to be bound by any resultant contract. The successful Contractor shall not have any right of action or claim before a Contract has been signed by the Contractor and CAWCD. The CAWCD anticipates a start date for design and pre-construction activities starting on about May 2022. The CAWCD anticipates a start date for construction activities starting on about January 2023. The construction project schedule shall be for a period of time no greater than 700 days from the Construction Notice to Proceed date. 02/17/2022 Pre-Proposal Site Visit The Design Build Team will be responsible for design and construction of complete project requirements for the South Plants Fire Protection Phase 2 Project and is required to stay within the CAWCD estimated budget. The project will include the supply of all materials, equipment, and labor for installation acceptance testing commissioning, and warranty. The Design Build Team will control the costs and will be responsible for the project schedule. SOQs must be in the actual possession of the CAWCD at the location indicated, on or prior to the exact time and date indicated above. Late SOQs will not be considered.
