Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 14,405-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The project is the construction of the new Kent County Fleet Services facility located on the Kent County Fuller Campus property north of the existing Fleet Services operations at 831 Ball Avenue, NE in Grand Rapids, MI Kent County Fleet Services provides preventative maintenance, repair and installation services for County vehicles, primarily for the Sheriff Offices. A parking lot gas island serves the fueling needs of the fleet. The existing Fleet Services has occupied the maintenance garage area adjacent to the Sheriff Offices Administration Building on Ball Avenue since the building opened in 1957 and was originally designed to service 35 vehicles. Presently, approximately 300 fleet vehicles/equipment from SUV's, light trucks, trailers, motorcycles, and shuttle busses are maintained. Preventative maintenance is scheduled, while unscheduled work is parked in an adjacent lot until it can be worked on. This new Fleet Services Facility will provide the needed space to maintain the fleet along with incorporating all mandated safety compliance measures. In addition, other efficiencies can be realized, such as; adequate utility infrastructure, safe navigation around other vehicles on hoists and the multitude of equipment/tool areas, adequate parking, indoor air quality and adequate ventilation for comfortable work environment, backup power generation, properly sized parts room along with deliveries space, locker/changing area, fuel island, and energy efficient. The Project consists of the construction of a Fleet services facilites that will be used to maintain all rolling stock for the county. Project includes maintenance bays, upfit bays, parts storage, break space, lockers, and bulk fluid storage. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable.
