The Corporation of the Municipality of Brighton invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit a quote for the supply and application of Pavement Markings in various locations throughout the Municipality of Brighton. Documents can be obtained from https://brighton.bidsandtenders.ca/ Question Deadline: Thu Feb 24, 2022 4:00 PM (EST) SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall be responsible for yellow and white line pavement markings on all roads listed in the table on the following page. The Contractor shall be responsible for all layout following the Ontario Traffic Manual Book 11, Pavement Hazard and Delineation Markings, and shall meet OPSS 710. New pavement markings shall follow the same configuration as the existing markings or as otherwise specified by the Municipality. The Contractor will be responsible for identifying the exact location and type of paint markings prior to removal of existing markings. Pavement Markings shall be according to OTM Book 11 and shall follow OPSS 710, 543, 1716, 1750, and the Special Provisions contained herein. The Contractor shall apply water-borne paint. All paint and beads supplied under this Contract shall be listed on the "material list" and comply to all OPSS Specifications and Special Provisions contained in this document. Glass beads shall conform to OPSS #1750 with the exception of the addition of a silane coating to achieve maximum adherence in water-borne paint products. All items shall include Contractor traffic control conforming to the Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7. The Contractor shall supply all labour, material and equipment required. The Contractor shall ensure only knowledgeable and properly trained staff performs the work. The Centreline and Edgeline (white line) shall be painted using a vehicle and not a walk behind machine. Bead guns must have the capability of being shut off independently while painting. Measurement of payment for Pavement Markings shall be per kilometre, including gaps. The locations and lengths of linework, as presented in the following table and illustrated in the attached map, are approximate only and generally indicative of the scope of work for purposes of bidding. Final locations and lengths will reflect existing line work or additional locations and quantities as identified by the Municipality during the project award is subject to final approval.
