**As of March 23, 2022, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $1,274,655.87** The work to be performed under this contract shall include, but is not limited to the following major items of work: o Installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic protection devices associated with the vehicular detour proposed for this project; o Installation, maintenance and removal of soil erosion and sediment control devices as shown on the plans; o Demolition and replacement of County Bridge No. E1002 with precast rigid frame on cast-in-place spread footings with precast wingwalls, cast-in-place concrete deck wearing surface and approach slabs, and precast concrete open window balustrade panels with cast-in-place pylons. o Approach roadway reconstruction and installation of new beam guide rail end terminals. Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Melissa A. Kosensky, Purchasing Agent, County Administration Building, Purchasing - 3rd Floor, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876, clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. The Somerset County Purchasing Division is maintaining Social Distancing; therefore, it is encouraged to Mail in your bid responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may drop them off at the Main Entrance of the County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and a Sheriff's Officer will contact the Purchasing Division to receive the responses. We value the integrity of the procurement process, and due to the circumstances, the bid opening will be conducted via Live-Stream from the County Commissioner's Meeting Room. During the bid opening process, the bidders will be announced as will bid amounts. A bid review providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted, as always to the Purchasing webpage once available. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract.
