Renovation of a mixed-use development in Northampton, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The VA Central Western Massachusetts in Leeds, MA requires a contractor to perform work which includes upgrading of the electrical distribution system to comply with current VHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, NEC, and other regulations and guidelines. Completing circuit tracing, renovating generator buildings for egress, upgrading generator exhaust systems, installation of new transformers, upgrading existing switchgear, installation of new generator, installation of new conduits, rewiring Building 1 to correct emergency power classifications, new site lighting, installation of lightning protection, installation of new automatic transfer switches, new electrical panels, new interior lighting, metering device installation, and associated demolition and supporting electrical work. The Contractor shall provide professional services to include all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to in accordance with the scope of work. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs or VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The NAICS code is 237130 and the small business size standard is $45 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer no later than 3:00 PM EST July 7, 2023, via email to Brian.Kelly@va.gov. (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project and include your firm s DUNS number and SAM UEI; (2) Installation of campus-wide medium voltage distribution: (3) Installation of automatic transfer switches; (4) Interior circuit tracing, rerouting existing circuits, and new interior electrical installations; (5) Installing campus-wide site lighting; (6) Prime shall provide proof of the ability to provide unique individuals for Project Manager, Superintendent, and Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) Coordinator; (7) Prime shall provide proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude; and (8) Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude. Interested firms shall hold active SAM registration. Visit www.sam.gov to register in this database. SDVOSB or VOSB firms shall be certified by Veterans Small Business Certification (VetCert) (Veterans Small Business Certification (sba.gov). All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms. Failure to submit all information requested in addition to the below form will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. If adequate interest is not received by 3:00 PM EST on July 7, 2023, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSBs, VOSBs, WOSBs, or Small Business firms.
