Renovation of an educational facility in Kailua, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Furnish materials, labor, and equipment necessary to install 4 High Volume Low Speed Circulation "Big Ass" brand or pre-approved equal ceiling fans in the Kalaheo High School Gymnasium. I. Fans: a. Contractor shall supply and install 4 Big Ass Fan Company, 16 feet diameter Powerfoil D or Essence fans with custom color and text or a pre-approved equal. b. Contractor shall supply additional parts (extension tubes and I-Beam kits) as recommended by the Fan Company. c. Contractor shall be responsible for any additional materials or hardware necessary for a complete installation. d. The installation of the fans shall be per manufacturer's recommendation. II. Structural a. Contractor will be responsible to check load calculations. Structural Engineer to submit load calculation documentation. III. Power for new fans a. Contractor will be responsible to check if sufficient electrical is available before ordering the equipment. b. Contractor will be responsible to supply all electrical materials and equipment to supply power to the fans from the nearest adequate circuit c. Contractor shall be responsible for tracing the existing circuit back to the electrical panel. d. Switches for fans will be located near the existing court lighting switches. e. Electrical work will be determined at the mandatory prebid meeting. Electrician should be present. IV. Installation (Onsite Work): a. The exact onsite start date will be coordinated with the shipment/arrival of the fans. Once onsite the contractor will have 14 working days to complete their work. b. All onsite work shall be coordinated with school officials (Principal and/or Athletic Director) to minimize disruption to the student's use of the gymnasium. c. The contractor will be responsible for protecting the gym floor throughout the duration of the construction. d. The contractor must clear the floor daily for after hour use by the school. This job is scheduled to commence upon award of a purchase order and be completed by August 1, 2022. Onsite work will be coordinated with the delivery of the fans.
