The City Council will consider all bids received at its council meeting to be held at 7 p.m. on the 7th day of April 2022, at the City Hall, Muscatine, Iowa A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Muscatine, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The City of Muscatine reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Contractor shall prepare provided Bidder Status Form as required by Iowa Code. The City of Muscatine has been experiencing untimely delays in receiving some bids from delivery services. Please note that Iowa Code 26.10 states that any bid received after the deadline cannot be considered and must be returned to the bidder unopened. When sending your bid, please consider scheduling the delivery date for a minimum of one day prior to the due date for the bid Bids may be held by the City of Muscatine for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
