Contractor to supply all materials, labor, and equipment to install 24,180 linear feet of multi-duct construction by means of horizontal directional drilling. The multi-duct construction will contain 3 each - 1" Fiber Innerducts (approximately 72,540 LF of individual duct), with all appurtenances, for the Utilities Department as noted on the project plans and specifications. This project has 4 segments. Segment 1 is from North Kansas Avenue south of 19th Street to 2020 North Kansas Avenue. Segment 2 is from the Police Station at 317 South Burlington Avenue to the B Street Substation at 105 West B Street. Segment 3 is from the Bypass Substation at 1400 East 26th Street to the 7th Street Substation at Showboat and 7th Avenue. Segment 4 is from the 16th Street alley between Lincoln Avenue and Hastings Avenue to Well #28 at 1706 North Marian Road.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Maintenance Bond in the sum of the full amount of the Contract within ten (10) days of the date of award. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of bids without the consent of the City of Hastings, Nebraska, for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time of closing bids. Time is of the essence in this contract. In evaluating bid(s) received, the City will consider the timelines of completion of prior construction contracts, existing workload of bidders and available manpower that bidder commits to the project. City of Hastings reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and may waive any informalities and may accept the proposal which best suits its needs. It is further understood that this proposal may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) days after bids are opened.
The period from the date specified in the contract for the commencement of work to the date specified for its completion, both dates inclusive.
