Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Work consists of the construction of site improvements for new parking spaces and renovation of existing parking areas east and west of the existing Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad (TVRS) Building. Improvements include new concrete paved entry apron (CG-13), as modified per the design plan, along the frontage of the access to the site, drainage, and sidewalk improvements along Horsepen Road. The project also includes guardrail along the intersection of Horsepen and Three Chopt Roads. The improvements include demolition of existing pavement and curb and gutter, new curb and gutter and closed drainage system improvements, with underground detention, construction of new pavement for surface parking, and construction of concrete sidewalk/CG-13 to tie-in to existing squad bay access. It is paramount to coordinate phased CG-13 pours and parking area access with TVRS project manager to maintain rescue vehicle ingress/egress at all times. Contractor shall be responsible for construction staging and phasing modifications to accommodate the proposed improvements in coordination with TVRS functions.
